About Gregg

As a teen growing up in Atlanta, Georgia I was able to watch my father assemble real estate and build furniture stores throughout the southeastern United States. I traveled with him many times and learned to love the region and the subtleties of real estate development as well as development of property from the ground up. I attended the Marist School in Atlanta and enjoyed wrestling coached by one Coach Bud Murray, a truly unique former paratroop-instructing Army Ranger. Upon graduation, I set my sites on Dallas, Texas and a new adventure at Southern Methodist University. I landed in Dallas knowing not a soul in the great state of Texas.

I obtained my real estate license in 1985 and set off to conquer the world of industrial real estate under the tutelage of Hank Dickerson. I was getting my feet wet cold calling office/warehouse owners and dissecting Brookhollow Industrial Park off I-35 in Dallas when the savings and loan crisis hit hard in Texas. I packed up and began a new adventure with Airgas Corporation selling carbon dioxide and dry ice in Denver, Orlando and eventually San Antonio.

I met my wife Kelly in Boerne, Texas and we decided to move to Austin, Texas. We met some great folks in Austin and I decided to put my real estate hat back on in 2000. We lived on Lipanese Trail off Cuernavaca for the next 25 years. I loved real estate once again and have been able to help hundreds of families as well as investors over the years with their real estate needs.

But my true love is my family of four grown children and four grandchildren aged 1 to 13. Kelly and I purchased the “largest five acre ranch in Texas” out in Dripping Springs in 2013 and finally built a home there in 2024. Kelly and I love our dogs, our work and most of all our angel grandbabies. We both enjoy helping people with real estate but more importantly, just meeting new folks and building relationships within the Cuernavaca community.

Kelly introduced me to one Edgar “Flaco” Uribe, a smart and kind barista from our local coffee shop The Civil Goat. Edgar wanted to pursue a career in real estate. Edgar joined me at Horizon Realty and we began working several listings I had at the time. It was evident we worked well together and we decided to become a team. We understood that the real estate industry is in change mode once again and adapting to new technologies including AI will be vital to helping even more folks in the area we both lived and loved, Cuernavaca or as its sometimes referred to the “Hood”. The diversity of real estate values in the area make it an exciting place to work, but the diversity of characters, families and community are what we love most about Cuernavaca.
